I had 21 Silkie chicks hatch today. I was hoping to slip them under two broodys and let them raise the chicks. With a bunch of Silkies around someone is always broody, right? Well, not when I want them to be!

I had one hen start sitting this morning. Does she need to sit for a certain amount of time to accept about 10 chicks?

I have heard of Silkies taking chicks when they weren't even broody. It may work as long as your prepared to raise them in case she rejects them.
