Will a very low roof on run discourage crowing?

I have read elsewhere that a rooster in a low cage will not crow because they can't stretch upward to crow. Is this true?

If a run is high enough to walk, lay, dust bathe but low enough so they can't stretch upward will it cut down on their crowing while outside the coop? Has anyone tried the idea of a very low run on a coop with a rooster?

I have never heard of that before. Thankfully my neighbors LIKE the crowing.

Doesn't work. I have one roo in a smaller cage originally made for chicks growing up (temporary). He can't stretch up to crow so he stretches forward and crows just as much as always.
