if we string barbed wire at the top of a 180 cm chicken run, would it deter a fox from climbing? or would we have to put it half way up? theres too many trees to make a roof.
Thank you!!

A strand of barb wire above field fence is the standard for farms. It deters livestock (cows) from leaning on fences to feed on the other side. It is not much of a solution to prevent climbing predators. I have seen our dogs go over a barbed fence in a flash to chase a deer. Foxes and Coons are crafty. I would add netting or mesh over the top of your run if you cannot do a solid roof.if we string barbed wire at the top of a 180 cm chicken run, would it deter a fox from climbing? or would we have to put it half way up? theres too many trees to make a roof.
