Will be adding on external egg boxes to existing coop this weekend...any tips/advice?

Hi everyone... Just looking for a little feedback. I will be adding on a community external egg box to my coop over the weekend. I think I have it well planned out.

The door will be the back wall hinged on the bottom (I have small kids that wouldn't be able to lift the lid...they're too short.

Any other tips to be on the lookout for when we add these on?

Just be sure to water seal the top where it meets the coop

A 4" lip at the bottom so bedding doesn't fall out when gathering eggs......And raccoon proof latches.
