I have decided to take a huge responsibility and breed OEGB's. Even have a coop planned out. I plan on ordering from Ideal Poultry, and improving my stock from there. But, I am having a heck of a difficult time deciding which colors to start with. Please help me decide! Vote and leave comments, please!

Thanks in advance!
Hannah.

(Mods, if this is in the wrong place, so sorry.)

Do the first group. Lemon blue OEGBs are in my opinion the most beautiful breed of chicken alive.

I personally think lemon blue are hard to raise because every chicken will have somethin wrong with it at a show
People who think whites are a good option t start with are wrong you have to keep them clean from what I hear they get dirty easy
If you are going to show start with less popular birds like Wheatens ,Blue Wheatens
Birchens are hard to get good stock
Don't recommend to popular varieties cause if you show and get beat you'll get mad and stop raising em or keep goin
If you don't win talk to the judge on how you can improve you birds
Go to oegclub.com and learn as much as you can

I was reading that white OEGB's can get dirty wing tips, because they tend to drag their wings, and I was hearing you have to keep them in a very shady run to keep their feathers a bright white color. True or false?
