Is it normal for Cot quail to stop laying when they move to a new home? I have 22 females and only got one egg yesterday and none today. I got them Tuesday night there 8-10 weeks old and he said they were laying great for him. They are on a 26% turkey starter and have oyster shell and get treats and are happy.

Is that what he fed them?
It shouldn't take them long to start back up. make sure they have ground oyster shell

He said they were on normal poultry layer. I didn't feel 16-20% protein was enough so I went with the 26% turkey starter

Coturnix quail do have quite a reputation for going on egg strike when moved, just give them time.
Since you switched feed keep a close eye on them, you may need to offer probiotics to help them with the switch if it was sudden. Their digestive systems will need to develop new enzymes for new food and they may have loose stools while adjusting. Make sure they have plenty of water and add probiotics if you do see loose stools after the first day (moving upset can cause a bit of anxiety loose stool).
The switched food may delay egg production a bit too.

Cheers,
Jessie

Well two eggs today so far, hopefully that's a good sign!
