OK, Captainmoose, you are probably right. Maybe I'll just pour the pepper on the chicken poops for a while until the dog gets the idea. The next question has to be can a chicken eat the stuff you feed the dog to make it stop eating its own poop. I would not give it to my chickens, the problem is with the dog not the chickens. I don't know what effect it would have on the chickens but I personally would not give it to my chickens, they are not eating there poop. You could try putting something hot on the poop and then give it to the dog, that might work. Keep the dog away from the run unless you are supervising.
