Last year I was given one male, one female Muscovy with a clutch of 11 eggs. Over the year I have done some trading so now have 2 drakes and 10 females. Getting about 7 eggs a day laid in one spot . One of the females is showing first signs of broodiness. Not sure what to expect. Will the females share nest? Could there be more than one nest? Will all females go broody and stop laying eggs? I really only want one set of ducklings this year. How do I do that? Don't want them to start sitting now because it is currently snowing here.

If you don't want them sitting take their eggs up. That will eliminate it. I am the one who decides who sit and how many eggs they get. As of now I have 1 Muscovy sitting and she is sitting on Runner eggs. Even if they go broody just keep taking any eggs you can't stop them from going broody but you can stop them from hatching. Once the weather gets nice make a out of the way nest spot in your coop. place nice soft bedding in it and I bet you'll have a taker in no time.
