Will fertilizer harm geese?

Can someone answer this question. Will fertilizer put on the grass to feed it hurt geese??? No weed killer just fertilizer....

Can someone please help me with this??? Can you fertilize your lawn and it not harm your geese???? No weed killer just fertilize it...
I need help now before my husband puts it down!!!!!!!

I have always used the granulated fertilizer. It will have 10-10-10, 13-13-13 or whatever strength written on it. No issues. It's part of farming, you have to Lyme and fertilize pastures. I would be Leary of liquid fertilizers as the geese would eat the vegetation that was contaminated with it. Likely it still wouldn't kill them as fertilizer is just synthesized natural compounds. Just the same I would be worried it would mess their stomach up to eat it.

Thank you so much for the response! When my husband put it down will do so on a day that it will rain and will keep the geese off it for that whole day. It will be pellets...

Rur, I didn´t KNOW how to answer your question, but i´d be worried about it, more because of being pellets, as geese like to rummage about don´t they?
My only thought about it is, if the geese are on the grass, why does it need fertilizing?
