My African geese wont sit on her eggs.

Hi my African geese layed 14 eggs within 2 wks. I haven't seen her lay on them. I put the eggs under a light to check for life. I don't see nothing but clear. I don't think her mate got her although he tried. We feed her pellets. Are her eggs fertile or non fertile. When can we take to eat them if non fertile. Its her first clutch.

You might want to try incubating eggs yourself in an incubator. If she didn’t sit, then the eggs aren’t going to be developed. If it’s been less than a week of her laying the eggs, you could try to incubate them. If it’s been more, I would wait for the next batch and eat these ones. Unwashed eggs can be eaten up to three weeks after they are laid.

How many geese do you have? 14 eggs is a lot for a single goose to lay in just two weeks.
