Will foxes swim after ducks?

I would like to put a small wooden platform in the middle of my pond for the ducks to hang out on. Do you think a fox would be motivated enough to swim out to it to kill my ducks?

A predator might be that motivated. And then the animal would have to climb out of the water and up onto the board to catch the duck. And then the ducks would hop off of the board and swim away. It's actually really hard to sneak up on a duck flock, even at night.
