Will free-range peacocks fight?

Not eaten by me yet until 4th January.

Peafowls, through edible, are not good eating, due to too tough meats with little bodyfats.
I don't eat peafowl meat often unless feral peafowls get shot for stealing calves"s foods in farm., an one moulting feral peacock got shot because it ate calf food at farm.

My friend has a gun, I do not have a gun.

Oooooh! OK. I get it. I know 1 of my fav breeder I was w yesterday has a young green male who is very crippled (knock-kneed, easty-westy, toes...) that he says he'll eat. Feel bad but undersand if he. Has 2 go, well. He won't be wasted

I do know breeders who do eat their culls........i have ate their eggs..............but not any of the birds.....but bet they are more like pheasant than chicken or turkey...all dark meat.

they will fight because the dont have enough females it should be at least 2 females to a male but 3 is better they can mate with up to six in a season

I have 4 male peacocks and one peahen. The peahen just hatched out her chicks and is busy with them. I had one peacock free ranging with the peahen. This peacock is 3 years old and the other three peacocks are 3, 1 & 1. The two three year olds where fighting back in spring so I caged up the one that I felt was causing all the trouble. Well, I let the two yearlings out about a week ago all went well. I decided to let the other 3 year old male out because breeding season is over and I didn't think it would be a problem.... I was wrong. They are back at it already. My question is, will they establish the "pecking order" or will the "mean" one chase the other one off? They all slept in their favorite tree last night so I thought maybe??.. but this morning they are fighting

again. I just want to make sure that since they are free range one doesn't get run off.. Please help

They should be fine, once you remove one and put it back they will have to go threw the pecking order all over again, I have lots of males here and they do chase each other on some days and others they are side by side dust bathing together.
Do you have photos of your pretties to share with us here? we love photos
