Will he ever crow?

When I got my roosters, they were the only ones in the area. Sometimes my "Bumni" would crow at 1 a.m.! Then 2 years later, new neighbors moved near by, along with their 3 roosters. Another 2 years later, other neighbors moved in near by, with their 4-5 roosters! Wow, if you don't like hearing roosters...don't move near me. LOL! Fortunately, I love roosters and their many vocalizations. They are communicating all the time, sometimes to each other, sometimes to their keepers, and sometimes as an alarm for predators or bad weather coming. They all have unique sounds that make their crowing melodic songs. And yeah, sometimes there is that one that makes an awful racket! Just get some ear plugs...

that's the good thing is we have 7 acres. The nearest neighbor doesn't have chickens. The nearest coop is the far ebbs of my field, about as far away as that could possibly be. And the next nearest coop i can only occasionally hear the rooster. Even if my nearest neighbors (4 including the one that already had chickens) got chickens I would still only be able to see 2 of the 4 coops

I don't think at this piont i could very wish him to not crow. But that is unless I get a night crower like my friend had. She didn't know becuase she was so use to all the chicken sounds, but we stayed out there one night and i kid you not he crowed ever hour on the hour all night along. Well at least that's what it felt like...

I had a night crower and a very early riser. The funny part is that I never knew it because the coop is on the opposite side from our bedroom. When we finally put Red down, my neighbors thanked me and said the night and morning is so quiet now. I had no idea what they were talking about and told them they should have told me sooner - ha! Good thing we are close friends!
