i have a guinea hen sitting on eggs for about 7-8 days now. theres about 20 or so of em. well last nite my step dad told me he heard coyotes. so this morning i went out to her nest to make sure the eggs where still there but there was only 9. so i gathered up the eggs and put them under my to broody hens.

the eggs were cold. will they still hatch. she got scared off the during the nite. i hope they still hatch but im not sure.
thanks cole.

Cole, they'll probably be fine. I had to pull some eggs off an abandoned nest and hatch them in the house. They were cold for longer than yours, I think and I still got 4 out of 10 to hatch. They were pretty close to hatching time, not as young as yours, so I don't know how that would affect it.

Yes they should hatch.

We had almost the same problem except our hen had been sitting on 16 eggs for 3 days before she and all but 9 eggs got eaten. (We don't know what ate her) We stuck them in the incubator as soon as I found she was gone (She was taken during the early morning hours I guess, 5-6ish and I went out and found the eggs around 11ish, the eggs were cold.)

Out of 9 eggs, 7 were fertile and 5 hatched. You did the best thing for those eggs by getting them some heat. They should be fine

Good luck
