Will his feathers grow right?

Pear rubbed off a patch of down on his neck with his crate by sticking his head through the bars. Will his feathers grow normally there? Will the down ever grow back?

The dark spot is where the down feathers are rubbed off

As long as the skin is fine it will grow more down or feathers in that area and they will grow normally.
