I'm just wondering, I have a dark brown hen (partridge I think the color is called if there dark brown), white hen and black hen (there all silkies) and these pictures her are of my silkie rooster and one of my hen because I don't know the name of there color, are the color just called grey or is it called something else?
anyway I was just wondering if I could get chicks in the color splash from this rooster and any of these silkie girls, like I said I'm just curious because I this the color splash is so beautiful, but I will be okey tho is I won't be able to get the color splash from them tho :)

I'm also going to get a new rooster in this sumer (then I will own 2 roosters), I have not decided the color of the rooster tho but I guess I just do that when I go she them, I will get the new rooster as a chick so he's not born yet, I'm so exited,
and I have fertile eggs in the incubator and my broody hen has 2 chicks under her so my silkie family are growing, I just love this breed, they are so cute :D

The only way to get splash is...
Blue crossed with blue will give about 1/4th of the offspring being splash.
Splash crossed with blue will give about half the offspring being splash
Splash crossed with splash will give all splash offspring.

thanks, then I maybe look for a blue rooster in the sumer and maybe buy a blue hen if there will be no blue hens from my fertile eggs that's going to hatch after 3 weeks.

but I saw another cute color that I didn't even knew that existed in the silkie, the cuckoo silkie, now this color is not available in Iceland where I live so I was wondering if there was any way to make that color by mixing some colours together or does it always have to be a cuckoo color breed together? :)
again just curious because I have so few colors my self now so I'm just looking up colours that I could buy here in Iceland, but I found this cuckoo color and it's not breed her in Iceland but I just want to check if there's any way to get that color by making it whit other colours
hope you understand what I'm talking about, haha, I thought it was kind hard to explain what I meant, and my English is maybe not always the best :)

To get cuckoo you have to have one.
If you have one cuckoo you can breed it to black to get more.
You can also use a cuckoo crossed with blue to get cuckoo and even blue cuckoo.

black, white, partridge, and grey, bleu, and I have seen silkie that look almost like orange color (brown/oringe color) and then there's lots of silkies her in Iceland 2 colored as well like my rooster Romeo is black this grey head, neck and chest.
but I been think of getting a new rooster to have 2 roosers and the color I have been think of is white because I have 1 white silkie girl and that could come more white silkies form my fertile eggs, or I would get a bleu rooster, I think both of that colors are so beautiful :)

but I don't think I know all the colors here in Iceland, but I was asking a breeder tho and she said there's no cuckoo silkies in Iceland, but there is a lot of other beautiful colors here tho :)
