will I be able to hand feed my chicks when they are bigger or will it start to hurt??

It doesn't hurt...just nips a bit if they catch your skin.

My aunt has hens, and I had fed them last time I visited her. Didn't hurt at all!

This is my first day/night with my chicks... it was adorable today when one of our chicks peck at a freckle on my arm. Too cute.

Most are pretty gentle, though I have some who are completely rabid... i'm usually left with "chicken pox" hands when i'm done feeding them treats
