will i end up broken hearted?

Someone had a BBB tom that lived to be 10 years old. I believe in his later years when he was having leg problems, the owner was giving him a bit of aspirin? Not sure on that last part. He was fed gamebird feed, sometimes a little scratch but not much. They watched his weight pretty closely, I think he was around 45 pounds? He was on Animal Planet a few times, too... His name was Mr Puff.

Our orginal BB Tom weighed 55 pounds and his two hens were both 27 pounds. Tom died of pnuemonia at the age of 7 years and one hen also died that same year. Our other hen continued on until she was 9 years old and just died in her sleep in her box. We thought of them as pets and hatched all the eggs that they layed. The latter years there weren't very many and most of them were not fertile by then. In 7 years we hatched over 200 babies from that trio. They showed at the Florida State Fair every year until Tom died.

Our trio now is just starting to lay and we have checked a few of the eggs to make sure of fertility and found bulls eyes in them. We now have 10 eggs in the incubators so far. They are not laying everyday, only about every other day. we love our turkeys and yes free ranging them where they have to exercise is key to longevity.
