I have Golden comets and a white leghorn and I am recieving this order next month:

1 black sumatra, 1 white crested black polish, 1 white crested blue polish, 2 ee's, one appenzeller spitzhauben, one golden laced wyandotte, 1 golden campine, 1 white cochin, 1 buff O, and 1 dominique. All female.

Will these chickens get along? I was told by someone that getting SUCH a mixed flock was a bad idea....

I guess I'm in trouble then. I have 3 white Leghorns hens, 1 RIR roo (the flock master) 1 BSL cockerel (he's going) 2 BSL pullets, 1 RSL hen, 2 BO pullets, and in the brooder I have 4 Cuckoo Marans, 3 Dominiques, 2 BRs, and 3 TSC assorted pullets....

Yes I like a lot of barred chicks lol

To answer your question, I don't think it's a problem at all. All of my birds get along as well as you can expect them too. Nobody is seriously pecked on, although you can tell who is the rooster's favorite.

I have a large mixed flock from leghorns to polish to orpingtons and marans and everything in between. Everyone gets along fine. Adequate space seems to be the main factor for a flock that gets along well if you ask me.
