Will I have to be at home when my chicks hatch

It is a great thing to watch, but can take a very long time. A chick may take a day or more to hatch after pipping. Most of the time my chicks hatch on me overnight while I am asleep. You do not HAVE to be present. If you have things you need to do, do them. You'll drive yourself crazy hovering over the bator.
