Will I have to wait until spring for my chickens to lay?

Total newbie . . . I am picking up my chicks in two weeks, which means they will reach normal laying age smack in the dead of winter. I live in a cold, dark climate (northern Idaho). Will they actually start laying in the middle of winter, or will I be waiting until next spring?

I got my birds in October and got my first eggs in February.

I'm getting a Barred Rock, Speckled Sussex, and Silver-Laced Wyandotte.
