Will I infect my tiny flock?

I definitely would not bring any chicken that you know has been exposed to illness into your flock. I learned the lesson of my life last fall. I was trying to help a man who had cancer and was unable to care for his chickens after surgery. In addition to bringing them on our farm, I didn't quarantine them from my flock. Within just a few days my whole flock of nearly 100 birds was wheezing and coughing. This went on all winter. Medicating and caring for them. I went from looking forward to picking up my little gold nuggets (eggs) everyday to dreading to go to the barn for fear of how many birds I lost today. I lost more than 50 birds due to my nievity (or stupidity).

Don't due it!

Got to chime in on this one. Don't do it! Even if they were not exposed to Mareks, it is not worth the risk of infecting your 3 healthy girls. Of course, I have the background of getting sick pullets. I will never get anything but freshly hatched chicks from a reputable hatchery. Just my opinion as I know plenty of peeps that get pullets and apparently have no problems...Good luck!
