Well i had an entire description and story written out, then it refreshed and it is gone so long story short...

I rescued Lucky from my ex husbands house.
Been here about 2 weeks and is SO much better but its size is nowhere near where it should be.
My question is this, will this chick ever be full size?
Itbis a golden laced wyandotte and in the photos it is with a silver laved wyandotte and they are THE SAME AGE!!!!!
Top image on the first photo is when we got it then bottom is today. Thankfully grown into the giant beak but still so tiny!
Will this initial stunted growth be permanent?

It could be a runt or a failure to thrive case (it has an unknown internal/genetic issue). Sometimes they'll eventually "grow up" and catch up to hatch mates, but if it's FTT it could just pass at some point without any other signs of problems.

This chick was neglected by my ex husband...has nothing to do with the chick itself. I just took another today that was starving bc he threw the 8 weekers with the full growns and they killed at least one, 2 are missing a d qe took the 3rd. I raised these older 4 for 4 weeks for him and now 3 are gone and i took the 4th. It weighs almost nothing and is about 12 weeks!! He has been qorrying about fair pigs and started neglecting the chickens and refuses to admit it. He doeant know i took the 2.
This chick being small is complete and total neglect and being thrown in as a 1 weeker, with 7 weekers.
Im just curious if it is POSSIBLE for her to be full size or if due to weeks of neglect, will she always be smaller?

Very hard to say. Obviously most of their development comes early on, so this chick may always be stunted, or with good food and care may be able to recover some of the size and strength it should have by this point.

There may still be something else going on with it (worms? genetic issues?) that's causing it to be this much noticeably tinier but again, hard to say. I'll be curious to see how it develops... if it gains some weight but still remains on the small side it'll probably be ok.

I guess he just wanted to be in chickhood for longer. :idunno
Lol once he got here and was actually being fed and a healthy living environment, he really progressed. As his bad feathers were growing out, there was a piece of cuticle? the casing that a feather comes out of, stuck on each bad feather. Once i clipped that and the bad feathers off, the rest thrived and now he is looking like a gold laced wyandotte! He is about the size of my OEGB roo now, but I dont think he is done growing. Not sure he will ever be full size, but he is at least ae to survive at this size. Kinda hope he stays this size and can survive with no issues bc otherwise he has to be rehomed. Male coop is bantams only!
