Will my bantam be okay during the winter?

I have a old english brassy back bantam hen who probably only weighs about 2 pounds at most..she's little..she is about six months old or so..fully feathered and doesn't seem to be having any issues as of right now with the colder weather...the lowest its gotten to was about 38 degrees. I know that it's not such a big deal at night because they'll all be together in their roosting house(Her and about 10 more chickens of different sizes and breeds)..but during the day will she be okay being outside in the cold weather? The average here in SC during winter is 20-40 degrees sometimes a little warmer..sometimes a little cooler.

I've read that other chickens like Rhode Island Reds are fine in that weather but what about a smaller chicken? In this case does size matter?

Also I was thinking about getting tarps to go around the chicken coop so the wind wouldn't blow in and maybe keep it warmer inside but then I realized they need sunlight and a lot of air as well..so I'm not sure what to do?

They'll likely be fine in your climate.
People keep bantams on much colder locations.

Assessing your coop for ventilation and drafts would be good to do.
Please post some pics of your coop, inside and out, and we can help with that

Chickens, being warm blooded animals, can handle extreme cold very well as long as they have access to the calories necessary to generate body heat. Since chickens are able to eat during the day, getting enough calories isn't a problem as long as they are provided the food. This along with the insulating feathers they wear, keeps them as warm as they need to be. At night they sleep in contact with one another, and that helps them retain body heat while they sleep.

Don't worry. A chicken is more equipped to handle the cold weather than a certain naked ape is.
