Will my BCM still lay DARK eggs if the roo is a Buff Orp?

No, everyone is saying the same thing

a cross breed offspring hen will have an egg dependent on what genes she gets.

She may get just what her father carried (what her aunt's showed as egg color), or what her grandfather carried (the color of the egg her great aunt shows) instead due to dominant and ressesive genes and multiple gene interactions (one gene for egg color, one for brown paint, one for clumpy paint (speckles) one for smooth paint).

But one individual hen will lay one color egg her whole life unless she runs out of 'paint'.

Blue egg color is 'in' the shell, brown egg color is laid on top of the shell even if it is 'pink' or 'tan' green eggs are blue eggs with a little brown over them, olive eggs are blue eggs with lots of brown over it.

White egg color is just the calcium compound with no extra color in it or on it.
