Will my chickens get bored in their coop area?

I have to keep my three chickens in their coop area all day long because they run away from you if you try to pick them up and I don't want them to escape, but I'm afraid they're going to get bored. They have plenty of wood chips to scratch at and a couple places to fly up onto, but should I add anything else for my bantams, just to make their coop area funnier (like ramps, steps, or places to hide under)?

My husband put all sorts of things in the coop to keep them entertained. I would add places for them to hide and definitely an area for them to take a dust bath that is in the sun. My chickens aren't too fond of cabbage, but if yours are, you could hang a cabbage in the run high enough that they have to jump a little to grab some cabbage. You could do the same thing by filling a suet feeder with treats that they do like. Have fun
