I'm having a hard time believin that my chicks won't fly out of the bin they're in awaiting the construction of their coop.

If you mean your chicks are in a brooder - you can keep them inside by putting a wire top on the brooder. It will allow good air exchange and keep them where they belong.

Thank you. I heard that they probably won't get out of the bin, but I feel like they've already became airborne enough at 2 weeks old, I hate to think what they'll do in a couple more weeks.

Hi and welcome to BYC. As a general rule, whatever you hope your chickens won't do, they will. Better to prepare for all eventualities IMO.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224
