will my eggs incubate

i have four hens that all share a nest and between laying eggs they occupy the nest all day light hours
at night 4 of my 25 week old hen/pullets sleep on the nest so will this work the same as a broody hen

I wouldn't depend on them hatching the eggs. Also do they poop in the nests when they sleep in them. I had some that would sleep in the nest boxes and poop in them. I closed off the nest boxes at night and opened them back up in the early morning before work to discourage them from getting into the habit of sleeping and pooping in the nest boxes.

they do but the rooster for some reason will scratch around and scratch the poop out of the egg box

Unless the hen is setting good I wouldnt expect them to hatch.

I would collect and eat the eggs, wait for one to be truly broody, or get an incubator. If by some chance they would hatch, who will take care of them with no real broody mom? Forgot...do you have a roo?
