Will my free run chickens continue to lay eggs in their nest?

We have a semi free range flock of 34 hens. Usually they lay in the boxes just fine but sometimes they forget or get lazy. We just leave them locked up until noon for a few days to remind them where they're supposed to lay.

That's a good point I forgot. I've observed the same thing. Almost all of the eggs are laid before noon so after that you can let them out.
