Will My Hens Lay in Winter?

Thnx Aart. Yes! I knew this. Why did I forget?

But I don’t know much about leghorns & laying hybrids and starting to lay eggs.
In general; if you want them to lay asap , you best keep them locked up safe in a big coop and provide extra light in the morning before sunset.

My two buff Orpingtons started laying about a week ago. They are about 22 weeks. I live in idaho and it’s getting cold here. I definitely think there’s hope you will get eggs this fall or winter.
