Will my newly adopted 'older' chicks warm up to us?

I had to replace my flock of 4 and opted to get two 6 week olds and two 12 week olds, rather than day olds. We picked them up at the hatchery where they were in a run with dozens of other birds, and obviously didn't get much/any human interaction. As such, they are pretty skitterish around us. We are trying to spend an hour or two a day with them, just being near by, talking and handling them as much as they'll let us.

Will they warm up to us, like my last birds, that we raise from hatch? Or have we missed out on the early weeks necessary for socialization?

Here they are all roosting together - with the older birds covering the younger ones!

Oh, I'm sure they will...you've just gotten them and they are in new 'digs', new owners, quite a stressful situation for them! Just keep doing what you're doing and they'll warm up to you!
