will my peahen stop laying if i collect her eggs daily

Wanted you to see pics with cock an his tail. He I drk ol or with geen neck and cock I was told be a Java Green. I'll look up what a Spalding looks like.
The. Other pic in my house had a hen the t was to be female of a black shoulder. Something got her on the nest. But other hen I sitting on the floor. They love to come in my house. Tell me what you think.

Where are you located? Could I buy from you? I'm having doubts about this other breeder.My. Bird are most important to me.
Yep that's a Spalding. A lot of times people have fallen victim to the "Java Green" scam. There are quite a few breeders out there that will say "Java Greens for Sale" and they're not Green peafowl but Spaldings. Very few breeders in the US breed for true Green peafowl and sell true Green peafowl. I'm in Nampa Idaho. I don't have any chicks of this season left but next year I'll have more chicks. Where are you located at?

I have a peahen that has hatched one baby. She seems to totally ignore it. I think this was one of her first eggs she laid. She has three more eggs laid much later, she is still sitting on. Should I take the baby ? It is now 5 days. I crawl into her nest, a big dog crate,
making sure her baby is Drinking. I don't think it is eating. But can't be sure. It sits on her back

I would either take the other eggs away, so she starts caring for the baby, or check those eggs and see if they are any good. Generally the eggs all start the development at the same time regardless of when they were laid. They will All hatch 28 days or so from the first day she starts actually setting on them. Last year my hen had 5 undeveloped eggs and 1 chick. Same thing, the chick hatched and the mother ignored the chick waiting for the others to hatch. I finally pulled one egg out, tapped it open- nothing but goo. Next egg, same thing, and so on. Finally when I had disposed of all the eggs- my hen honked for a few minutes then went right into mother mode and started caring for the chick. Make sure to other the chick food , Cooke egg yolk etc... In the meantime so it doesn't get weak. Good luck.

Oh my goodness I love this photo! May I use this photo in the United Peafowl Association Magazine? I don't know if I will have a chance to use it in the current issue I am working on but I could see this being a front cover photo. If you decide to let me use this photo I will need a way to credit you for the photo such as your name or farm name, etc.

I would be honored for you to use the photo. How can I get a copy of the magazine when you post it? Don't understand what you mean about credit.
Do you want me to send an email with photo in it or can you use this one. Can you see all three of them. I have other cool pics of them in the house.
The green on is sitting by the fireplace during a cold winter. They love to come in the house....
Look forward to hearing from you.
Joan
