Will my Pullets accept my older rooster

Im wondering if my 5 month Pullets will accept my older rooster. They seem to avoid him, and run away. But they are also are doing the squatting behaviour…

They’ll come around, but make sure he isn’t being too rough with them.

My pullets were about 8 or 9 mo old when they were integrated w the rooster and the rest of the flock. They had seen each other thru the fence their whole lives. The only reason I waited that long is that I had a cockerel with them. He became dinner, then I put them all together.
The young girls ADORE the rooster! The old hens are tired of him, and avoid but the girls still follow him around several months later...
