Howdy... Finalizing my coop design and I have one last snag/blindspot.
I currently have 6 Silkies and they do not seem to be roosting (maybe its too far above ground? they like to sleep in a pile together). I am building a new coop for 20-25 chickens and cannot decide if my poop boards will be used. I would so love to utilize this nifty feature, but not sure if they would use it.
I have not bothered forcing them to roost.
I am planning on having 3 full sized chickens. Maybe be Silkie's would learn from the other chickens that roost more?
