Will my turkey hen die?

Another reason to keep food and water away from the nest is that it attracts vermin and in some cases even worse, predators.

Yeah.. keep the rodents away! Little buggers!

i have had a Hen (chicken not turkey) and she was one of those types of hens that would not leave the nest no matter what, so every time I let the chickens out i would take her and set her right outside the nest she would get up and go eat, drink, and take a dustbath for about 2 min and then run (and run she does) back to the nest sometimes she doesn't give me enough time to count her eggs.
And to tell you all my hens that sit on their eggs have never attacked me when i am checking their eggs or if the eggs already hatched the let me do checkups on the little ones. I have one hen when she hatches her chicks she teaches her kiddos to follow me if they see me because i almost always have a handout for the little ones.
