Will new feathers form under her saddle?

Hello,

I have had saddles on my girls since spring. They are completely bare underneath. Molting season is coming and am wondering if the new feathers will grow underneath them?

If I take them off the rooster has to go somewhere else for the time being.

Yes, they will grow, but if the saddles rub at all, they may not. It's not like feathers need sunshine to grow, but a little bit more protein might help.

Those new pin feathers can be painful, I wouldn't want anything rubbing on them.
