Will older hens still go broody?

I mean if they have stopped laying will they still go broody? I've got an older silkie that needs a job and wondered if she could be a momma even if she's stopped laying.

I'm not sure about birds that have stopped laying completely but normally the older the bird the more inclined they are to want to settle down and raise a family.
