Will our chicken be ok on her own?

A fox got into our coop and killed 3 of our 4 chickens. Stevie played dead and survived. We’ve had her live in the house whilst her wounds heal but going forwards can she live outside. She has an Omlet house and secure area but I worry she will be lonley. Or get cold without her friends. She has settled in to the kitchen and seams happy around the dogs. The only issue we have is our Bengal kittens that we are having to keep out of the kitchen. Stevie is about 4, all our hens had stopped laying eggs before the fox struck. Looking for advise to let her see out her life happy and safe.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
She needs flock mates for certain.
I suggest posting pictures of your coop set up in the Coop & Run Forum with advice on how to predator proof it.
Ideally, I would suggest getting 3 chicks and brooding them with a brooder plate in a secure area of the coop so that Stevie could see and hear them and they her. Then when they are about 4 to 4.5 weeks old you could fashion a chick sized door for them to come out and explore but could run back into their brooder if Stevie went after them. But I don't think that your Omlet coop would allow you to do it that way.

So sorry for your loss! Once your coop is safe and the way in has been eliminated, she will be much happier with other chickens. She probably stopped laying due to the shock and stress.
