Will refrigerated eggs still hatch?

Hi everyone!
I have a question on whether or not I should get my hopes up..
I have corturnix quail eggs in my incubator at the moment and its day 17 with no signs of anything. I made the mistake of refrigerating the eggs for about 7 days before my incubator arriving (not knowing you shouldn't)
Is there any chance that they may still hatch or is it time to turn the incubator off?

Welcome to the BYC flock! We are glad you joined us!

If you are on day 17 and you are not seeing any signs of development, it sounds like it is time to turn off the incubator and throw the eggs away. Sorry, but refridgerated eggs do not typically have great hatch rates.

It seems you should be seeing some sort of life by day 17 so maybe it's time to get rid of those eggs and start over. Now that you have your incubator, you can get the fertile eggs in there right away.

Hope the next go round goes better!
