Will Rooster Fertilize Hens?

Today, I introduced my Silkie rooster and and an Ancona hen into my flock. The rooster and hen have been buddies for a while now. When I introduce them the hen was getting to know everything and the rooster was just staying in the coop and not going in the run. He was roosting with all of them tonight though. Will he Fertilize the hens or will he just fertilize his buddy the Ancona hen? Will it need to take time? Feedback will be appreciated! Thanks!

The hens are over a year old now. I barely see him fertilize the Ancona hen

He doesn't have to court her very often, as little as once a month is enough to keep all of her eggs fertile.

I had a similar question. I had a Japanese bantam rooster who dead and I was left with a single hen. So I went out and got another Japanese bantam rooster and hen. The rooster is young (7 months) and the hen is still chirping so I placed her by herself as my new rooster tired desperately to mate her. My hen is older than my rooster and wasn't trying to have another man jump on top of her after her hubby died. So I did some research on here and found out that it will eventually happen. He is a rooster and it's what they do. You'll eventually see the roo dance. If your hens are older he has to dominate them. Chickens have a pecking order and when any new members are introduced, they are at the bottom. So the rooster has to prove that he's worthy of mating with them.
