Will runt chicken be ok laying eggs?

We have chickens here that they call Kikiriki; these are even smaller than the bantams from which they were bred and cross-bred in the past! Kikiriki chickens come in all colors, a multitude of comb types and adults weigh under 7 ounces with very short legs. Their eggs are small, but fully functional.
I always wondered what that word meant! Maybe she is a mille fleur d'uccle kikiriki😁🤣

She doesn't seem to be starving, because she does have a full crop. I hope it's not impacted! How can one tell?
Massage her crop in the evening at bedtime and it should be rather solid, full. The next morning, before allowing her out to eat or drink anything, massage her crop again and it should be flat, empty. If full at night and empty in the morning, then her crop is functioning properly.

Oh! I’m sure that‘s not the problem. I was just pointing out that my Little started out smallish, but was able to grow up healthy, so I’m thinking yours should be just fine :wee. And what was wrong with my Junie was she seemed to have sour crop (puffy crop, was acting a little lethargic, wasn’t really eating), so I had to massage the gas bubbles out throughout the day and feed her just a liquid diet. I think she ate a small wood shaving and it blocked things up . But she’s full grown and fine now.

I will definitely double check today! She ate a lot today and her little crop looks freakish lol.

I'm glad your littke sweetheart is ok! Yeah my little girl is just too funny and tiny. Here are some pics (she looks kinda horrible bc the flock devoured watermelon yesterday). The California heat is still here along with the smoke. Look at her size in comparison to the two seramas and mottled cochin bantam by her lol
