Hello there, I was just wondering if a chicken lays one double yoker, will she continue? I'm asking this because my buff Orpinton has layed a double yoker a few weeks ago and today I went out and found another one. I know the picture of the candle one isn't that great but it's the best I could get.

She has been laying for about a month and half.

2 double yolkers within a few weeks is not alarming for a young layer. In the meantime, go buy a lottery ticket! My family always celebrates when we find a double yolker!

I've had Buff Orpingtons lay double yolks before and they are really big! My black copper marans always lay double yolks. The first 2 months in laying I've gotten 8 double yolks from only 3 hens!
