Will the chick in my egg die?

Hi I am very disappointed with myself I poured water in my incubator and it splashed on an egg and I know you aren't supposed to get your eggs wet but it got wet will the chick loose it protective coding and die I really hope not

Some people wash their eggs before incubating them to remove any bacteria on the shells. A little splash isn't going to hurt. Good luck!

Ok good thanks the reason I was so worried is that it's a special blue egg it's a cream legbar! I'm so happy that it might hatch

I hope so too, I used to raise love birds many years ago. Sure wish we had PC & forums back then..lol
