Will the color of my RSL's egg change? (pic)

I have 3 RSLs one lays eggs that are much lighter then the other two, my kids say they are pink...it is a little pinkish. Will it get browner? She's 7 months old.

The color of egg a hen lays will usually stay the same throughout her laying life. Occasionally diet or illness can change it but for the most it stays the same.

It will stay the same or may even get a little lighter.

Interesting...why would they lay such different colors? I thought RSLs were really consistant.

I don't really care, I like the colorful pallette in my egg cartons, I'm just curious.

egg color varies from hen to hen among the same breed..makes it nice I can tell which hens are laying in my pens because I know which shades they are laying.Unless you raised and hatched your own sex links you don't know what they used for a cross..there adding more egg color variation.You may have some hens with totally different breeding than the others.I have one cross that lays almost white,another cross that lays darker

When I had Cinnamon Queens (RSL's) the eggs were that color. Nothing wrong with them.
