Will the hen stay broody? Please help?!

I'm thinking of sticking some eggs under my broody, but I am worried that she will come off them during the course of incubation, as she has been sitting for 9 weeks already, on nothing, and I have been trying to get her to stop. Would you say she will continue to sit on eggs, now that they are under her? Any ideas would be good.

what kind of chicken is it? how old is it? any other info about it?

my gut says she will stay on the eggs.. just have the bator ready for a couple of days at first..

The hen is a sussex and is about 2 and a half years old. I have an incubator but it is being used at the moment for another 11 days.

I have decided to put 6 eggs under and and see what happens

now its just a case of waiting...

I hate waiting

but its a good way to test your patience. Lol
