They are 6-8 weeks old, they have a coop and an enclosure. I let them out this morning, and then pout them back in the coop when it started to rain, but they weren't happy. Are they OK to let outside if its raining? As long as they can get back in if they want? As long as its warm out, or should I keep them dry?

my chickens usually go in if it is raining, unless you have a roof over your run where they can get out of the rain, I have a few chickens who go out in the rain unless it is pouring! if they are fully feathered they should be ok, but if you worry about them, like we all worry about them like they are our kids... you could just keep them in until they get a little bigger!

Exactly,

Imp- Here in Seattle they'd never get out if they waited for the rain to stop.

There's a pretty large overhang on the roof, and the coop itself is lifted, so they could go under if they wanted to. I'll go open the doors back up for them, Thanks!

I agree. My 8 to 9 week olds do fine out in our tractor with shelter at one end. Sometimes they are out in the rain a little, and sometimes they hang out on the grass underneath the open nest box above. The only one I worry about is my silkie, due to her? feathering.
