I built the coop and then waited a few weeks till I put in the nesting boxes- It seems the birds haven't discovered the nesting boxes?? It's been four weeks and I still don't have any evidence of them even hopping in to see what they are?? We still haven't seen our first egg- I'm sure it's going to be within the next few weeks do I need to train these chickens to where the egg boxes are?? Do I put the porcelin egg in?? Should I use straw instead of the wood chips??

Wood chips are fine. You could put golf balls in there so that when they are ready to lay they know that it's a safe place. Don't worry, however. They will discover them when they need them.

i didn't get my nest boxes in til after my first hens started laying...within MINUTES they were hopping up there, settling in like they'd done it forever...even tho they'd never seen one before
