Will they ever let me hold them? Please say yes!

Yay for Fran coming around :) I have one that has been identified as a possible Black Sex Link that just does not want anything to do with me. He ( I say he because seems to act very roo-like though if it is a He I doubt it is a BSL maybe an ameraucana? ) anyhoo he will jump on my lap for a split second and then off he goes.
If it's a black sex-link a roo should have a white spot on top of it's head. However, barred rocks all have the spot.

He does not have a white spot, I posted a pic here last week and someone said he was a possible BSL, but I think he is a roo therefore must be something else, he acts rooish, lol and his feathers are coming in much different then my two known girls. :) I though maybe an amerucana? He is mostly black, wish some white greyish bib area.

Looks just like my BSL pullet, even the golden/brown feathering coming in around the neck...and she's a bit stand-offish too compared to some of my other chicks. She even has a bit bigger comb than a lot of the others her age or a little older. Think it's just how the BSL's often are.

lol, standoffish is putting it midly. she squawks like crazy when i pick her up, and when she does come near me pecks and her/his pecks are a bit harder than my other two. also stands a lot taller and carries her himself differently. Hubs has his heart set on it being a roo, already named it rooster cogburn, won't he be disappointed.

Yea...Blackie went thru that stage too. Your chick looks to be a week or 2 behind her agewise. She's about 5-6 weeks & fully feathered at this point. Getting pretty big for her age too.

He is finally coming around, and i had no idea just how big they had gotten until I got 3 favorolle/cochin mix babies this week, they look huge compared to the others!
I did find a thread on her with a picture of an americuana (sp?) roo that looks EXACTLY like rooster cogburn. so i guess it is a toss up between an americuana roo or a BSL.
