Will they ever stop YELLING!?!

Thanks for all the info and that is a great poem. I have nine, I think I may downsize a bit and see if that helps. We live on acreage but I can't believe my neighbors have not complained. Come summer, I think I will miss the peaceful quiet of the country since its been replaced with 'BUCKWHEAT' and what sounds like automatic rifle fire. On the up side, they don't venture past our fence line and become someone a neigh's problem. They are funny little birds and I loved the dent the two made in our tick and mosquito population. I wonder if they will be more quiet when summer comes and there is more to eat?

ours "know us" even when we feed them and all else on the farm is quiet, they are still screaming.. that's why they are known as aka guard dogs..lol...they seem to just have bad nerves and need xanax.hahahaaha but we do love them just the same....and if at nite and you hear them fussing...go check. they protect your flocl and let u know a predator such as a fox, snake, owl, or possum in in the danger zone...many times when the chickens won't...................

My never hardly yell during the night. Also, mine do holler when they nest (well the other guineas around the nesting hen).

When I had mine as long as they were in the run they only screamed when they saw a cat. When they were free ranging thats all they did.

we have six and they are really noisy! they are about 9 months old or so and sometimes we think we may just have to eat them! But then they are so funny, I don't know if we really could. If they are in the pen with the chickens they are much quieter than when they are free ranging. Basically if I want quiet I don't let them out.

They may be fun to watch, and their noises during free range are interesting, but since they insist on screaming outside my bedroom while I sleep (I work nights), I don't find it the slightest bit amusing. Today, I woke up over 20 times and went outside 7 to try to get the group back together. I am not sure how much longer I can take it.

Nope, they never stop yelling!! They never shut up!! I've got lots and lots of roosters running around, big Orp roosters that are very loud. I can handle that noise, but guineas--

Craigslist is your best bet--sold mine in just a couple of days there. Good luck! Just my humble opinion.
