Will they fly away?

I have 4 turkeys and I'm getting ready for them to go outside out of the brooder but I don't want to put them in the same pen as my ducks cause I'm sure they'd drown themselves in the pool somehow. I want to put them in our big pasture but don't want them to fly away. They are going to be show turkeys so I can't clip their wings. Just wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to help ensure they won't fly away? Kinda a crazy question just thought I'd ask

I don't know turkeys so don't put too much dependance on what I say. I've sen a post where, with guinneas, someone recommended putting all but one guinnea in an outside enclosure and let one roam. After a couple of days, let another one out. Maybe alternate them. The idea is that the will hang around their penned buddies and get used to the idea to stay around. Eventually you could let them all out.

If there are wild turkeys around you, don't be too surprised if they join the wild turkey flock and leave you. I've seen posts about that on here also.

Good luck.

Of all the turkeys I've had, none have flown away. But I have also had plenty of other birds for them to roam with. Try letting one out at a time, like previously suggested.
